God’s Purpose for Suffering
“We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we might present every man complete in Christ.” Colossians 1:28, NAS
“Suffering is not God’s way of making me miserable; it’s God’s way of making me.” ~Scott Wolfe
Without suffering, we just wouldn’t get it. God does more to reveal us and Himself through suffering than any other thing. In any situation in your life, you will either see “good” or “bad” or you will see God.
“Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal” ~2 Cor. 4:16-18
